OGS members returned to campus in April for a jam-packed jubilee celebrating the tastes, treasures and traditions of Rolla. While stormy weather moved most activities indoors, nothing dampened the spirit of Miner pride.
Minerfest kicked off with the Woman of the Year Awards luncheon recognizing the contributions of Missouri S&T’s female faculty members. A milestone day in university history followed, with the donor luncheon and groundbreaking ceremony for James E. Bertelsmeyer Hall, our new home for chemical and biochemical engineering. On Friday night, scholarship students and donors brought their appetites and acumen to Gale Bullman for a picnic-style feast and trivia showdown.
The four-day celebration culminated with the annual OGS Dinner and Induction Ceremony, honoring new and advancing members of the university’s most influential giving circle. Before and after dinner, OGS members strolled memory lane in the Havener Center Atrium, where a carnival complete with a snow cone machine, popcorn cart and Big Six Wheel created midway magic, Miner-style.
