Spring is student design season at Missouri S&T. Throughout the semester, you’ll see young innovators driving Formula-style cars around campus parking lots, floating concrete canoes on a local lake, or flying drones on simulated humanitarian aid missions.
More than 1,200 members of S&T’s 15 student design teams push the edge of possibility every day, preparing to put their ingenuity and ideas to the ultimate test: performance. They do so backed by a dedicated team of investors and advisors: the members of Miners by Design. This group of donors provides funding for equipment and materials, technology upgrades, vehicle maintenance and competition travel. Most importantly, their investment in experiential learning is encouraging the leaders of tomorrow.
S&T’s student design teams had a great year in 2015. Now they’re revving up to make 2016 even better. National and international competitions are scheduled throughout the year. Visit design.mst.edu for team news and competition schedules.
