Donors are recognized as members of OGS with a pledge of $15,000 or cumulative lifetime giving of at least $25,000 to the university or the Miner Alumni Association. In addition, OGS offers 10 upper giving levels—called claghns. Established to appropriately recognize those who continue to give at higher levels, claghn levels are based on lifetime giving, including corporate matches, pledges, estates and other documented planned gifts.
The gift of resources and time are recognized through the OGS Celebration Weekend, as well as through the Shillelagh newsletter, the Honor Roll of Donors published in Missouri S&T Magazine and donors receive a piece of Waterford crystal symbolizing their current level of lifetime giving.
All gifts made to Missouri University of Science and Technology count toward membership in OGS. Gifts may be designated for any department, program or university-approved area, or a combination of areas.
